got my driving license!

So i finally got my driving license and am legally allowed to drive my own car within Idaho. I should be proud of myself that i managed to do it only after 6 hours of lesson, carrying a serious belly bump and nursing an inflammed tendon in my right wrist, but at the same time i dont. I made several major mistakes during the driving test itself and i definitely dont think i would have passed it based on SG standard. I also feel ultra disappointed that i didnt get to showcase the result of the amount of hardwork i put in during the 6 hr lesson with my instructor...i know for sure i can do a lot better than what i did during the driving test, but somehow i didnt deliver.

it's also super mood dampening to still not be able to exercise your legal rights to drive a car despite having gotten the driver's license. RASF has this policy where it mandates every serviceman and their spouse to go through a second round of driving test on base after having gotten your license, before you will be allowed to operate the automobile. it's almost as if they have zero trust in Idaho's state laws and all driving testers that they have to impose the additional (and absolutely unnecessary) layer of driving test. You would expect that they would be available to conduct this unnecessary additonal layer of test since they make the policy applicable for everyone here, but thats so not the case. The approved "testers" themselves are always so busy with work and family that asking them to go for a check drive is not always readily possible.

ok i shall complain no more. i feel more exasperated the more i whine and rant. i shall just focus on whatever limited amount of blessings i already have here.

and that means the overwhelming concern my family and friends have always showered on me, even if they are tens of thousands of miles away! and cheers to me (again) for having passed the driving test in under a week since i first started with the theory test!! i am going to be strong and not let the cruelty and misery of this place affect me :-)
